RED ROOM GAMES
This is literally just a website... it's not like you're about to jump out of a plane... come on.
An Independent Game Studio You’ll Love
Love is subjective but I love cheese.
I love animals.
Not sure I LOVE game studios...
A Fun Filled Game Studio
In the digital age, it's easy to make believe. It's easy to hide behind a screen and craft a persona to engage others with. You can trim and prune your avatar like a bonsai tree.... and give others whatever impression you want.
We all want to be great at what we do. We want to be successful and happy and loved. With creative endeavors, we strive that everyone embraces every single thing we touch...
but my games are not for everyone.
And I'm not going to pretend to be something that I'm not.
My name is Davey Cadaver and I make games. Well... a game.
With An IOU, I attempted to create a thought provoking and emotionally resonant experience. I don't believe in creating things just for the sake of entertainment. I want to make people laugh, as well as cry.
I want my work to linger in your head and cause you to question things long after playing.
I didn't set out to make a typical visual novel. You won't find half-naked anime girls in An IOU.
It isn't a dating sim.
It's a story about a boy and a girl.... and another girl. It's about the chaos that can result from feeling new emotions for the first time and not knowing exactly what to do about that. An IOU aims to capture what it feels like to be trapped inside your own skin, your own head, and your own circumstances. What it means to be human.
Although I have other games that are still in development,
I'm just one man. This isn't a triple a studio or even a small team of people. It's just me.
I do everything here. Writing, design, programming, videos, marketing, etc.
I created Red Room Games as a way to differentiate my game development career from my other passion and main source of income: Art.
Like my paintings and illustration work, I refuse to put my name on something until I'm 100% happy with it...
so it may be a little while until my next game comes out.
But I thoroughly loved creating AN IOU and I hope that you enjoy playing it.
I hope it makes you feel.
